Legacy To Future
Today, ISUZU Motorsports applies decades of cross-country and harsh-environment experience toward modern APAC mobility initiatives, production-based off-road systems, remote operations engineering, and special vehicle development.
The ISUZU Motorsports legacy was built through years of real-world cross-country competition, harsh-environment vehicle development, remote-area operations, and production-based off-road engineering.
This experience continues to influence the company’s modern APAC mobility, special vehicle, and remote operations philosophy today.
The foundation of the brand traces back to 1988, when founder Hiroaki “Harry” Suzuki first participated in the Australian Wynn’s Safari Rally as a support mechanic for a Japanese private team competing with an Isuzu Bighorn diesel vehicle.
This experience marked the beginning of a long-term involvement in endurance rally engineering and competition centered on durability, reliability, and real-world performance.

Drawing upon decades of accumulated rally experience, Isuzu Motorsports Pty Ltd was established in Australia in 2009 as an independent motorsport and engineering initiative.
The company’s philosophy was shaped directly by real-world endurance competition:
Durability before performance claims.
Engineering proven under extreme conditions.
In recent years, strategic discussions have explored future rally and engineering initiatives alongside international development opportunities.
Following the COVID period, the brand has entered a new phase focused on international collaboration, including the formation of a Vietnam-based joint venture structure supporting long-term global expansion.
Isuzu Motorsports continues to operate as an independent entity preserving its motorsport heritage while exploring future engineering and brand development opportunities.
